Coastal exposure, the same as Revere

Lynn shares a shoreline with Revere, and the roofs share the same enemy. Salt carried in the air attacks metal first: chimney and wall flashing, drip edge, valley metal, vents, and the nails and screws holding everything down. On a coastal roof the shingles are often in better shape than the metal details, and a roof can start leaking at a flashing joint years before the covering itself is finished.
